Your Cycle Has Been Trying To Tell You Something. I'd Love To Help You Listen.

If you've ever been handed a pack of birth control as the

answer to painful periods, irregular cycles, or a PCOS diagnosis, you're not alone. For a lot of women, that's where the conversation ends. Manage the symptoms, come back when you want to get pregnant.

But what if the symptoms aren't the problem? What if they're the message from some larger lurking issue?

That's the lens Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has always used when it comes to gynecological health — and it's one I find myself returning to again and again in clinical practice with patients.

Your cycle is one of the most sensitive indicators of what's happening in your body. Painful periods, heavy bleeding, irregular timing, mood swings, acne, fatigue, swelling — these aren't random. They're your body communicating a pattern. TCM's job is to read that pattern and address the cause, not just quiet the signal.

What TCM Actually Sees When It Looks at Your Cycle

Western medicine tends to categorize gynecological conditions by diagnosis: endometriosis, PMDD, dysmenorrhea, PCOS. TCM sees those same conditions, but through a different filter — one focused on the underlying imbalance driving the presentation.

A few of the most common patterns diagnosed as drivers of women's health focused issues are:

Liver Qi Stagnation is the most prevalent pattern in modern humans. One of my favorite sayings is "if your body is making stress hormones, it is not making sex hormones" Stress, overwork, and emotional suppression all cause Qi to back up and stagnate in the Liver channel, which runs directly through the pelvis. The result? Premenstrual tension, breast tenderness, irritability before your period, and cramps that feel like squeezing or pressure.

Blood Stasis often underlies more severe dysmenorrhea and endometriosis. When blood doesn't move freely through the uterus, you get dark, clotted bleeding, sharp or stabbing pain, and sometimes tons of bloat, pain and suffering with very little blood movement at alll. All bark and no bite. This pattern responds beautifully to a combination of acupuncture and herbal medicine that actively moves blood and breaks up stagnation.

Kidney Deficiency is the foundational pattern for many cycle irregularities and hormonal imbalances. In TCM, the Kidneys govern reproductive function, hormonal rhythm, and the body's deep reserves. When they're depleted (by chronic stress, overtraining, poor sleep, or constitutional tendency), cycles become erratic, ovulation becomes unreliable, and symptoms like fatigue and low libido creep in alongside the gynecological ones.

Spleen Qi Deficiency with Dampness drives a lot of the bloating, poor digestion, irregular blood sugar, and weight-related symptoms that show up alongside conditions like PMOS and PMDD. The Spleen in TCM governs transformation and transportation — when it's weak, fluids accumulate, digestion suffers, and the whole hormonal picture becomes muddier.

Patients are never walking with one distinct pattern. They have multiple ones layered on top of each other, which is exactly why cookie-cutter approaches rarely work for complex gynecological conditions.

Why Four Months Matters

We are working with your cycle. That means we are operating on a monthly timeline by definition, sometimes significantly more with non-ovulatory women.

Real, lasting change in menstrual health requires seeing multiple full cycles — watching how your body responds to treatment, adjusting the herbal formula as patterns shift, tracking whether ovulation is coming earlier or later, whether the pain is decreasing, whether your energy in the luteal phase is improving. This isn't something that happens in two or three sessions. The research backs this up, and so does decades of clinical tradition.

That's why I created a Signature Four-Month Intensive Gynecology Program designed specifically for women dealing with complex chronic gynecological conditions. Not a handful of appointments. A full course of care. Part of this is accountability and being able to decide when you are ready. It is easy to pop in and try a few sessions or take herbs here and there.

For me not only do I want the people in my care to get better but I want the medicine to shine. This requires follow through. Not I tried it a few times and did not work. In that situation everyone loses.

What the Signature Program Includes

The program is built around everything I'd want a patient with Endometriosis, PMOS, PMDD, dysmenorrhea, or post-birth-control cycle dysregulation to actually have access to — all coordinated under one roof:

  • A 4 Stage approach systematically addressing immune function, digestion, nervous system and circulation. Treating you as a whole, not just your menstrual cycle

  • Up to 16 Acupuncture visits over four months, timed to cycle phases when appropriate

  • Herbal medicine, customized and adjusted as your pattern evolves

  • Ear seeds for between-session support — especially useful for stress, sleep, and pain management

  • Moxibustion, which is particularly powerful for Cold patterns, Kidney deficiency, and supporting uterine circulation

  • Dietary guidance rooted in both TCM food therapy and modern nutritional principles

  • Supplement recommendations to fill in nutritional gaps that support hormonal health

  • Recent diagnostic testing interpretation — I want to see your labs and work alongside your existing medical care, not in a silo

The program is $3,000 for the full four months. For context: that's comprehensive, coordinated gynecological care with an experienced practitioner who has a background in gynecology, sports medicine, and integrative health — and who is going to know your case deeply by the time we're done.

Who This Is For

If any of these sound like you, this program was designed with you in mind:

  • You've been diagnosed with endometriosis, PMOS, PMDD, or dysmenorrhea and you're looking for support beyond what conventional medicine has offered

  • Your cycles went sideways after stopping birth control and haven't self-corrected

  • You're dealing with a cluster of symptoms — irregular cycles, blood sugar swings, heavy bleeding, painful periods, emotional dysregulation, bloating, acne, fatigue — and no one has connected the dots yet. You don't have to have a clear diagnosis to be a good candidate.

  • You want a provider who will actually look at your labs, track your cycle, and adjust your treatment plan over time

This isn't a maintenance program. It's for women who are ready to go deep on something that's been affecting their quality of life, often for years. Let's explore if this might be a good fit. Click link below to tell me a bit about you, your body, and goals.
